If like me you are baffled by the whole idea of HTML code,then that’s OK i think the majority of people on line are.
Don’t get me wrong i have tested the highly confused waters that is HTML ,and quickly decided this is not for me.
But guess what, if you think about it most of what you need to know is already done for you. Platforms like W-Press and Squidoo are prime examples of this.
But it is always useful to know a bit of the basics. By basics i mean for example -

Here’s a great idea if you want to promote an affiliate product,but don’t want the expense of hosting and building a web site.
We all know that E zine Articles does not allow links directly to an affiliate product right.But what if that link was disguised.Here’s what you do.Go to any domain vendor say Go-daddy and buy a cheap domain,and instead of directing the domain name at your hosting account direct it to the affiliate page.
In your Go-daddy account click on the domain name you want to use,choose “forwarding”then put your Click-bank affiliate link in the URL space you want the domain to go to.Now then be sure to click the “masking”tab,so when someone clicks your link in your resource box at the bottom of your article they are taken directly to the sales page.(but remember with your affiliate link hidden) all that is seen is your domain name.
And one last thing, if you find the product you are trying to promote does not convert,redirect the domain to another product.
You have your blog up and running, you have free gifts to give away you have even implemented a list building mechanism.So how can you get customers to your opt in page?

Hi I’m back, finally. No I won’t bore you with my internet connection adventures, plenty of adventure very little connection. I will just say that I am now using a mobile phone connection, not brilliant but better than no connection.
If you have visited this blog before you will have noticed the new address ThomasMarkShaw.comlet’s face it who wants /blog on there .com oh and did you see what I did there, I Capitalised the beginning of each word. It just makes the address stand out that much better.
OK, in my last post I mentioned about going back to basics, how to start your very own blog. But you know I was thinking, who wants another blog about how to make a blog. Not me. So isn’t it great when you are given a blog guide for free.
As a student of the Starting with Marketing Academy hosted by Dean Holland at DeanHolland.com– Dean put together for all his students a blog guide pdf, the very same one that you can download for free to the right of this post. Any way fitting in with the philosophy of giving so that hopefully in the end we shall receive, the ‘’we’’ in this case being Dean’s students and you the reader of this blog.(I’m not sure how to finish this)
What I’m trying to say is, by giving away this Blog Guide in exchange for someone’s email address. The essence of what this blog and many others are all about, the business process of what we are trying to achieve has begun. (I’m sorry but that reads a bit pretentious)
In my next post I will be talking about ‘’the money is in the list’ well then again I probably won’t, I’ll play it by ear.
What a disaster the last three weeks have been, by that I mean no internet connection.
Ok disaster might be a bit over the top, it just seems that way.
I read my first post on this my first blog and it reads a bit vague.
So let me try it this way.
Dean Holland remember that name you going to hear more of him, right now I’m a student of his so I suppose you could call him my mentor.
Actually that’s still vague, but do remember the name.
If like me you have been trying to make money on line with little success, and like me you have bought into the scams and in my case spent a serious amount of money
Then eventually you arrive at a crossroads, give up or do the smart thing and find someone who knows how to make money.
You see many of us consume huge amounts of information on how to make money on the internet but we do nothing with it, we don’t take action.
But if you search hard enough you will like I have done, find a mentor someone who can show you the ropes. Hence Dean Holland.com.
Dean has travelled the same path that you and I have in other words information overload and very little to show for it.
Dean came across Alex Jeffries someone who is making a serious amount of money with his list building, which incidentally is the key element in what
Dean is teaching all his students. Yes that’s right students, in the space of eight months he has gone from where I right now owning a blog to his very own internet marketing academy – Starting with Marketing.
So let me tell you where I am with all this.

I have hosting
I have a blog (what you’re reading now)
I have an auto responder (more of that in future posts)
So despite my internet being down intermittedly for three weeks and by the way is still running very slow(BT are doing a dig and fix tomorrow)
I have achieved a fair bit of progress. Now as far as making any money on line will just say that I can sense the money.
Dean’s course is six weeks long and I am one of fifty eight students, this is now the end of the third week.
But you know the most eye opening thing I have learned, the light turning on moment to all this was this phrase Dean taught us
Don’t Chase the Money
Now for a would be internet marketer this goes totally against everything we are trying to achieve.
After digesting what might appear to be a revolutionary statement it soon became apparent to me that I a new approach was needed indeed a new way of thinking.
